Stinging Nettle Seeds

Urtica dioica

Used in the manufacture of cloth, as a food, and medicinally since the Bronze age. Cooked young shoots, rich in iron, are eaten as a spring tonic. Cooking removes the sting. Makes great pasta sauce with peanut butter and lots of garlic. In traditional medicine nettle is used only before flowers begin to form. Once flowers form it is not recommended for use.

Nettle helps break down humus in the compost pile. We also sell this as a dried bulk herb.
