Shishito Pepper Seeds
Capsicum annuum
Shishito peppers get their name from the Japanese word Shishi, or lion, which refers to the resemblance the tip of the pepper has to a lion. They are very prolific producers and you can expect an abudance of peppers to enjoy July to September. They have a compact growth habit and are excellent for containers or small garden spaces.
The walls of the Shishito pepper are thin so they cook fast and are often seared and served with salt, stewed, or grilled.
