Also known as Locoto, Rocoto has been cultivated in Bolivia and Peru as well as in the highlands of Central America and Mexico for thousands of years. It will withstand colder temperatures than other peppers. Used in hot salsas or as rocotos rellenos when prepared as stuffed and baked dishes including meats and cheeses. Yellow fruiting variety. The plants are branched and covered in fine hair. An interesting garden specimen.
