Montana White Sage Seeds
Artemesia ludoviciana
Also known as 'Estafiate' or 'Western Mugwort', this bitter, sharp flavored herb is used in Southwestern recipes and to make smudge sticks used in ceremony for purification. The attractive silver-green foliage is excellent for wreath making. Used as a garden ornamental.
In recent years, with the overharvesting of California White Sage (Salvia apiana) for commercial use, we like to recommend this as a vigorous, fast growing alternative that does well in our PNW cllimate.
