Cilantro or Coriander Seeds
Coriandrum sativum
The leaf, known as cilantro, is used extensively in Mexican and Asian cooking. Essential in salsa! The seeds, called coriander, taste entirely different, like spicy oranges, and are valuable in sauces, soups and exotic dishes. Our Coriander Honey Butter is a popular favorite at our Summer Tours & Luncheons.
We love having cilantro in our garden for the wonderful fragrance it pours out whenever you get near it; and for the happy hum of the many pollinators who love it also!
