Red Viper's Bugloss Seeds
Echium russicum (rubrum)
Produces tall spikes of very unusual dark red to rust colored flowers. We get lots of comments about this one in our display gardens. It also seems to catch the eye of butterflies. Once establised, Red Viper's Bugloss is quite hardy.
Seed Germinating Tips: Red Viper's Bugloss germinates irregularly over a long period of time; it can take anywhere from 30-90 days to germinate. Temperature of less than 41 degrees is helpful. Keep moist and out of direct sunlight.
