Bugloss Seeds

Description and Uses: Also known as Alkanet. It is a member of the borage family, producing large numbers of blue to purple flowers. Studies in the UK have bugloss as one of the top ten producers of nectar for pollinators. This herb was once listed in the U.S. Pharmacoepia as a diuretic and a diaphoretic. Roots yield a good red dye.
Seed Germinating Tips: Plant outdoors in spring after danger of frost, or indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Barely cover with fine soil, pressing firmly. Be sure to keep moist or cover with clear plastic to retain moisture.
