Sacred Basil Seeds
Ocimum africanum
 
This herb is also know as Tulsi Basil or Holy Basil. Spicy clove scented basil with purple flowers. Also makes a very aromatic border plant. Considered a sacred plant in India. Used in traditional medicine, ayurveda, and as an insect repellant with stored grains. Bees love it!
 
More hardy than Ocimum tenuiflorum, or tropical holy basil.
 
Seed Germinating Tips: Plant outdoors in spring after danger of frost, or indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Cover seed 1/8” with fine soil, pressing firmly. Keep moist.
